notes	弹丸之地-夏尔希里：2012年9月13-17日，我们一行15人来到博乐北部的阿拉套山，考察夏尔希里野生动物。新疆西部的夏尔希里，原为中、哈两国争议地区，根据1998年7月4日中哈两国签署的《关于中哈国界补充规定》，将夏尔希里地区22000公顷和阿拉山口5800公顷划归中国。2000年6月，经自治区人民政府新政函（2000）130号文件批准成立了自治区级自然保护区，类型为森林及野生动物类型，面积220平方公里。2005年3月3日，经新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府同意增扩面积，将阿拉山口58平方公里和与夏尔希里自然保护区连接的博州哈日图热格36平方公里，一并划入夏尔希里自然保护区。保护区地理坐标界于东经81°43′09″-82°33′18″，北纬45°07′43″-45°23′15″之间，东西长66公里，南北宽25公里，面积314平方公里。由西部的保尔德河区(西段)、东部的江巴斯区(东段)和联接两个区域的边境廊道(中段)等三个部分组成。由于长期属于争议区，双方均实行严格的军事管制，基本无人类活动，保护区生态处于原始自然状态，自然资源保存完好。夏尔希里境内有雪山、高山草甸、山地森林、戈壁荒漠等多种地貌类型，生态种群分布同时受中亚、蒙古及西伯利亚植物区系的影响，是多种珍稀野生动植物的集中分布区，保护价值极高。夏尔希里野生动物资源丰富，有金雕、高山兀鹫、雀鹰、红隼、赛加羚羊、北山羊、盘羊、棕熊、雪豹等国家重点保护野生动物40余种，约有陆栖类动物和鸟类300余种，其中以赛加羚羊最为珍贵。这里又是重要的鸟类迁徙地、繁殖地、越冬地，因此成为我国一座独特的生物基因宝库。夏尔希里有各种高等植物600余种，占全疆已知高等植物总数量的15%。脊椎动物221种，昆虫420种，大型真菌143种，生物多性极其丰富，是我国珍稀生物物种的集中分布区，被称为“中国的最后净地和不可多得的天然基因库。” 为了让国内外读者更好地了解新疆夏尔希里，自治区政协文史办和博州政协决定邀请有关部门和科学家编辑出版中国边境文史系列丛书；《在边境线上——中国新疆夏尔西里》。
